Concert Technician Jan Kittel
Jan Kittel is an internationally renowned concert technician who worked for 15 years at Steinway & Sons since his training at the same company. He has worked with many pianists around the world including Maurizio Polloni, Grigory Sokolov, Andras Schiff, Martha Argerich, Lang Lang, Arkadi Volodos, Evgeny Kissin, Murray Perahia, Jan Lisieki, Marc-Andre Hamelin, Angela Hewitt, Radu Lupu and Fazil Say. He also worked for major international competitions such as Chopin-Wettbewerb in Warschau, Tschaikowski-Wettbewerb in Moskau and denKonigin-Elisabeth-Wettbewerb in Brussel. Since 2015, he has served a a concert technical director at Laieszhalle, the best concert hall in Hamburg and is directing many concerts around the world as a technician. Jan is a co-founder of Klangmanufaktur Hamburg established by Germany's piano technician masters with a goal to maximize the potential value of the piano.
